Surviving The Amazon

Your task is to write a short travelogue/blog/account of your time in the Amazon Rainforest. You are an explorer travelling  through the rainforest.
It should include the following tasks:

1. Your shopping task regarding the equipment/resources you are going to use to explore.
2. Locating the Amazon Rainforest with facts regarding its size etc
3. Reference should be made to the climate.
4. Reference should be made to the vegetation and adaptions.
5. Reference should be made to creatures you come across.
